How to use

After you install the Add on for Firefox. Right click on the text box that you want to spell check.

Then click on Language -> km_KH

When you made a spelling error, the word will be highlighted.
You can right click on the highlighted word to see the correct suggested spelling.

Mohema makes it easy to search for Cambodia web site

I get frustrated when searching for Khmer contents on the net and Ihave to put the word “ Khmer” or “ Cambodia” in my search term and most of the time it doesn’t give the desired result.

So I decided to create my own search engine bases on Google Custom Search feature. It works out great. Say example you want to search for a hotel, just type “ hotel” and it will give you the results of hotels in Cambodia.

I beat my own record for ten pin bowling on the weekend. My last highest score was a mere 162 but this time I got 188. I think I have learned the technique that works for me

First day training

Last night was my first day training for the City to Bay fun run. When I got home from work I felt a bit tired and was about to just say…maybe tomorrow I’ll start training. But I thought, I can’t keep doing that. So, got home, put on my track pant and went out for a jog.

It was actually much harder than I thought. The first 500m I already felt exhausted! I’m sooo unfit. At the end, I manage to do a 30 minutes exercise with about 10 minutes of walking between the runs. I felt better once I got home and felt like I have more energy than before. A bit of pain this morning though but I should be alright.

I’m joining City to Bay Fun Run

Yes, I have decided to join this year City to Bay Fun Run (Adelaide to Glenelg – Sunday 21 September 2008). Tonight is my first practice and will be my first exercise in 6 months! I will be running the whole 12Km. I’m getting so unfit and almost overweight! So Join me or if you would like to sponsor me I will donate all the money to a children charity through the Australia-Cambodia Foundation who are running orphanages in Cambodia.

The Red Sense screening a success

I had a lot of fun organizing the screening of The Red Sense at the Mercury Cinema on the 4th May 2008. There were over 150 people turned up and I have received good feedback from the audiences. People seemed to enjoy it. I’m planning for more screening soon. Stay tuned if you haven’t seen it yet.

A friend of mind have sent me a movie he produced and directed called The Red Sense. This powerful story that deal with revenge and love… the movie is about Khmer Rouge regime survivor coined “ The Killing Field” , now living in Australia had to deal with her nightmarish past. In the effort to find closure, she tracked down the man who executed her father. The confrontation and what to happen after really get into the heart of all Khmer Rouge survivors…would you take revenge?

I’m hoping to hire a theater and screen this movie for everyone to see. If you are in Adelaide and interested, please let me know.

Home and heart

They say home is where the heart is. Although my heart is in Kampuchea-Krom (Southern Vietnam) I feel as though Australia is also my home. I got back to Australia for about two weeks now and I feel such a relief from the noises, traffic, and the non-stop life style in Prei Nakor. I enjoy Adelaide for its easy going and relaxing environment and the family and friends I have here. It’s good to be back here and take a short break before I head back to Kampuchea-Krom.
